ARTIST STATEMENT
While everyone has individual stories and their own understanding of their world, I believe these stories also have universal themes. These describe how time, place, culture, and people relate. In my work I aim to evoke fading memories or elicit new ones by inviting a dialogue between the viewer and their subconscious.
“I found that it’s very serious to pay attention to ancestors, how you worship your ancestors, and then also the old memories and families – the origin of families, the origin of life itself.”
